An hour drive from Dubai and you reach the mountains! The backcountry hills of Showka have some hidden trails that are not often used which is why we love them! An easy trek over rocks and some trails for 2.5 hours.
This trek is designed for people who are just starting their hiking journeys, slow pace and lots of time for photos and rest for hydration breaks. There are options to take more hills or less hills, depending on the group. We will take a very slow pace with lots of time to adjust to the heat.
We will also take our route to avoid the hills if necessary to avoid heat exhaustion so expect a casual hike to get adjusted to the heat, get used to carrying water and enjoy being outside again!
We will reverse our usual route, taking the flat wadi section for the first hour, which will be the hottest as we get adjusted, then we will make our way up the hill which is the exciting part as the views for sunset are incredible and rewarding! Expect 2.5 to 3 hours total for this hike.

What’s Included

Experienced and certified mountain guide (English speaking)
Guides will not ever touch you, pull or push you up, but will coach you to do it yourself.
Guides are fully qualified to assist in any emergency with their advanced first aid skills, and their full first aid kit.
