Liwa is your weekly escape from everything that keeps you plugged in. Every week brings a new theme, yoga, bootcamp, family weekends, photography, or a fully private getaway, but the constant is the same: real disconnection, out in the open desert.
We've thought through every comfort you'll need. What we haven't installed is Etisalat. Liwa stays a WiFi-free zone, on purpose, so the only thing competing for your attention is the desert itself.

Weekend Overnight Retreats at Discover Liwa
This is the Overnight Retreat for Dog Lovers. Everything we do wil be with our dogs. We will even sleep with them in our glamping tents. Every family will have their own tent with their furry loved one. Games with the dogs, and walks through the dunes with them. Don’t leavve them behind.
Escape the city on a full-day Liwa Desert Trek Retreat, departing straight from Abu Dhabi. Trek through the Liwa desert, one of the most breathtaking landscapes in the UAE.
This guided desert hiking experience blends adventure with authentic and quality hospitality at a higher standard than your typical Desert Safarl. Comfortable round-trip transportation, a hearty, healthy brunch under open skies, and a real digital detox away from notifications and noise.
Disconnect from the screen. Pick up a brush or a camera instead. Themes of the Desert is a two night creative retreat set deep in the Liwa dunes, where guests spend two full days learning to really see the desert, its light, its texture, its scale, and turn that seeing into a finished piece of work. Photography or painting track alongside a professional artist through golden hour sessions, closing the weekend with a gallery walk of everyone's finished pieces.
Family themed games, challenges and structured activities for the whole weekend. If you were looking for sending the kids off on their own thing, this is not it. Parents and kids will work together to solve problems compete against the other families to race and challenge each other for a weekend of fun!

Wake up early and start our walk the other direction to catch the sunrise now.
We will enjoy our coffee, tea croissants and yogurt in the dunes as we wait for the sun to rise over the horizon.
Then we will start our 2-3 hour hike through the dunes before returning to the camp for a glorious breakfast.

Swim and relax in the pool until noon before heading back to Dubai.

Liwa Desert Trek Retreat: Inclusions:

After the long drive, you will be hungry! Drinks and snacks will be served on arrival

Or in house Chef will prepare an incredible buffet dinner complete with appetizers, salads and dessert. Something for everyone, vegetarians and vegans will be happy too, just let us know your preferences.

Campfire and of course, learn to Smors. Tea and fizzy drinks will be available.

Everything you need for the 3 hour hike will be included in your backpack: 2 liters of water, electrolytes, salty snacks.

Your Morning Coffee/ Tea, croissants and yogurt will be brought to the sunrise spot by dune buggy to have for the sunrise that we will reach for the sunrise.

Amy will take us through the dunes for the hike without getting us lost for 3 hours and make sure we return safely.

Rooms with bedding, toilets and showers OR glamping tents, as you prefer, shared with 1 person maximum

Clean spring fed swimming pool filled up for our visit, no chlorine or chemicals are used.
