This mountain deserves more consideration. Its a serious and dangerous mountain climb. Just because you CAN climb it as a beginner does NOT mean you should.

Russia: Mt Elbrus
Russia is safe for all nationalities and visas will be issued to anyone. It will be your own comfort level, and you may need to consider any restrictions imposed by your employer, but other than that, you can go and climb Elbrus safely. There is no political risks in the area of the mountain itself and many people are still climbing in the summer.
