This trip will at cost price with the hope that the savings will enable participants to allow bigger budget for a donation to the family of the porter and guide that escort you on the journey at the end of the trek. Our porters will be those that have been personally impacted by the floods so your tip - your donation - will directly impact them and their families. Donated funds to big NGO’s are great, but not always distributed fairly leaving some families and areas in poorer areas left out.
Your donation - your final tip - will go to the porter and the guide for supporting you on this trek. You will learn about their stories all the way to base camp and your tip will be the most meaningful way to spend your money.
This is a 14 days walk out trip, no helicopter.
The weather will be colder than average closer to Base Camp but for the first 12 days very pleasant throughout the journey. Gear can be rented in Lukla for even more savings.

This is not the roughing it journey you see on instagram. You are not going to have tea houses with 4 beds to a room and a shared squat toilet in the corner. Every tea house will have not only a flush toilet but 2 beds per room and clean bedding. They are even - warm.
Focus on your body being healthy and strong.
Tea Houses on the Trek:
We will stay at the best tea houses on the way, on a sharing basis.
All of the tea houses that we choose have en suite toilet - except for Labouche Pyramid Observatory.
Showers with hot water - and en suite toilets are in every tea house.
A warm place to gather in the evenings in the dining area.
Wifi will be available for an additional charge.
The costs of one porter are included in the trek. We expect that you will plan a donation worthy of something more than a 10 dollar a day tip.
1 local guide for up to 5 people
Guide: Our main guide has been with us for 18 years he will stay with the group walking with you every step of way ensuring your health and safety. Most importantly, he is there in case of emergencies.
Trek leader: Kathy: No matter which tea houses you are in, you will have the support before you travel and on the route from your trek leader, Kathy has. climbed mountains for the last 15 years and done many treks in Nepal and around the world including Kilimanjaro.
You will be guided at every step with your pace and breaks to ensure you keep the effects of the altitude at a minimum to make the climb enjoyable and rewarding as it should be. Acclimatization days are essential and included as part of the package, as well as the helicopter exit to make the trip doable within the 11 days time frame.
With a limit of only 5 trekkers, expect personalized attention and support throughout this unforgettable adventure.
