This specially curated journey has been personally developed by Amy Subaey over the past 15 years, shaped through guiding hundreds of women across East Africa and refining each departure to create an experience that feels both safe and deeply transformative.

Every detail — from pacing and accommodation choices to emotional preparation and on-the-ground support — reflects years of experience leading women into unfamiliar landscapes with confidence, care, and community.

The Rwanda Gorilla Immersion Series is one of our most emotionally powerful expeditions — a carefully curated small-group journey into the volcano landscapes and rainforests that are home to the world’s last remaining mountain gorillas.

This experience is designed for travelers seeking more than a wildlife encounter. It is an opportunity to step into a landscape that feels both wild and deeply peaceful, to move slowly through rainforest terrain alongside expert trackers, and to experience Africa in a way that feels safe, intentional, and profoundly moving.

Rwanda offers a rare combination of accessibility, conservation leadership, and extraordinary natural beauty. Mist-covered volcanoes, welcoming communities, and world-class conservation efforts create the perfect setting for a first African adventure that feels immersive without being overwhelming.

The Immersion Series goes beyond gorilla trekking alone. Over several days, we combine meaningful wildlife encounters with cultural connection, gentle adventure, and moments of quiet reflection — creating an experience that feels balanced, supportive, and deeply memorable.

This is a small-group journey designed to help you feel present, capable, and connected to nature, to community, Fly at night on Rwanda Air, giving us a full 4 days of activities. specially curated journey has been personally developed by Amy Subaey over the past 15 years, shaped through guiding hundreds of women across East Africa and refining each departure to create an experience that feels both safe and deeply transformative.
