The Gorilla Trek for Eid al Adha

Total Cost: 7500 DH

Gorilla Permit 800 USD - PAID BY CREDIT CARD LINK DIRECTLY TO THE PARK HQ

EARLY BIRD RATE: 6500 Dh EXPIRES FEB 15TH

Date Clarification: Fly OUT: 4 days you will visit 2 countries, meet the gorillas, the golden monkeys, kayak down a river and so much more! We have done this trip for 15 years to rave reviews. We’ve made the trip as low cost as possible and maximize the activities you can do each day, escaping the ‘one activity per day’ rules that all Rwanda trips require. Flying on Rwanda Air, we fly early Thursday morning and return Sunday morning. We will stay in comfortable lodges with fireplaces inside a bamboo forest, and in Uganda stay in a tented lodge overlooking a lake in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

Full 4 day Itinerary: We fly at night on Rwanda Air, therefore we have a full 4 days of activities.

Saturday: Arrival 6:30 am and breakfast in cafe, tour the genocide museum and then drive directly to Uganda, crossing the border and enjoying a sunset canoe ride over Lake Mutanda. Dinner and overnight in Rushaga Gorilla Lodge.

Sunday: Early wake up! Get Ready to track the gorillas! We will go to park headquarters by 7:00 am and start our trek! We don’t know how long we will be. When we return, we will have lunch and then pack up and head back to Rwanda to cross the border, have dinner and overnight at Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge.

Monday: Today we will do our hike to either the volcano OR Diane Fossey Gorilla Memorial, either a 5 or possibly as long as 7 hour hike through the deep jungles, right on the Congo border. This is where Diane Fossey lived amongst the gorillas, and where they still live today. We may even hear them on our hike! We will be exhausted from our hike today!

Tuesday: Morning: Head to the Park again to track the golden monkeys and to a local cafe for lunch. After lunch, we will have our kayaking trip down the local river and then drive to Kigali, have dinner in Milles Collines (Hotel Rwanda) before we head to the airport and fly back, arriving in Dubai Wednesday morning at 8:30 am.

When people take the time to actually write a review, this is what they say!

Visit the gorillas in their natural habitat, a critically endangered species that you will tell your grandchildren about. Experience a once in a lifetime adventure in Africa.
