You ride Etihad Rail from Abu Dhabi, we meet you at the station, and from there we take care of everything: a guided hike at Ghail Dam, lunch together, and a drop-off in time for the evening train home. No driving, no carpooling with strangers and no overnight stay.

The Ghail Dam Hike

Ghail Dam is one of our favourite trails, and it works for every level. Beginners walk the wadi at a relaxed pace and turn back before the climb, while intermediate hikers carry on to the summit for the view over the dam and mountains. Expect two to three hours on the trail depending on the route you choose, with our qualified guides looking after both groups.

Dubai ladies are very welcome. The train times from Dubai don’t line up with this day yet, so you’ll join us by bus with pickup from Times Square Center Mall at 7:30 am. You can also drive yourself and meet us at the start of the hike.

Train Tickets are additional charge if you want us to book for you, OR - you can buy these easily on your own on the Etihad Rail App. Choose your class, but timings are easy: 8:15 departure and 5:15 return.

What’s Included?

• Pick up from Train Station, transport for the day

  Pick up from the train, and leave your stuff on the bus. You’ll need to change clothes few times. Just leave your bag safely on the bus. Its only for us.

• Lunch at Kingfisher Eco Retreat

  Changing facilities are also available but no showers.

  The lunch is 5 star!

• Backpacks, Packed for the Guided Hike

  Backpacks one less thing to worry about, includes water, snacks and electrolytes for your hiking journey on Ghail Dam as well as qualified guides.

  This hike is fine for beginners and those that want more of a challenge!

  Beginners turn around after the wadi at a slower pace, and intermediate level or faster hikers continue to the summit and come back.

  The Kalba Mangroves tour is just next to the sea. We can also swim here jumping in and out of the kayaks as we explore.
