OMAN: Canyoning Lite For Newbies: Snake Canyon Left Fork, Living Village Exploration

  • UAE Trekkers https://maps.app.goo.gl/WHEFhyaEFEWCdH469 Wadi Bani Awf Oman (map)

800 DH: Transportation from Dubai; 400 DH

Snake Canyon Light the left fork, is the beginner-friendly version of Oman’s famous canyoning adventure. Designed for first-time canyoners and newer hikers, this guided experience gives you the thrill of swimming, scrambling and moving through natural pools — without the intensity of the full technical route.

Just 5 hours from Dubai or Abu Dhabi (and only 30 minutes across the border), you step into a completely different world — deep in the Hajar Mountains, where towering cliffs, hidden pools, and narrow canyon walls create one of the most unique landscapes in the region.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE LEFT FORK: A SHORTER BUT EQUALLY EXCITING ADVENTURE - ALSO ROPED AND HARNESSED.

This is not a hike — it’s a full canyoning experience.

Slide, jump, swim, and move your way through Snake Canyon — a narrow gorge known for its winding passages, deep pools, and dramatic rock walls rising up to 100–200m around you.

Over two days, you’ll explore:

  • Snake Canyon (full canyoning experience)

  • Wadi Hatt (a second unique canyon route)

  • Natural pools and mountain landscapes

  • A night stay in the mountains

All meals, accommodation, and technical gear are included.
