  • UAE Trekkers https://maps.app.goo.gl/pivA3DswvP1NEnUu6 Fujairah United Arab Emirates (map)

Overview:

Join us in hiking through this tranquil gorge with water always flowing threaded by crystal-fed pools and striking rock formations, We wind through shaded wadi pathways, (all shaded especially in the morning, allowing us to start a bit later. Gently climb to a serene summit marked by a UAE flag, and soak in sweeping views of fertile farms and rolling Hajar ridges.

With small guided groups, safety-first ethos, and light-hearted local storytelling, this peaceful yet picturesque loop is the perfect escape for new trekkers seeking nature and solitude with UAE Trekkers. hike is also known as Wadi Qfair, and is very popular in the afternoons, but empty in the early mornings! Lots of scrambling over water features and rocks towering around you.

Beginners and Kids will also really enjoy all of the scrambling opportunities in this wadi. You will take a slower pace, and do a retrace trek with your guide if you need to. But you don’t need to worry about keeping up with anyone, you will have a guide dedicated to stay at your pace.

Intermediate Group: This group will go at a faster pace and reach the top first, allowing for you to stay at your speed with a dedicated guide that will keep you moving an ‘intermediate’ pace without as many stop or breaks as is often required for beginners.

Location & Car Access:
Just 1 hour 25  minutes from Dubai, the route begins just pulling off the main road for the entrance accessible by any standard car, with ample parking.

Distance & Duration of the Hike:
Approximately 8km one way, with roughly 300 m of elevation gain, this will take about 3.5 hours up the rocky wadi and over the top and back down the other side of the mountain.

Highlights: The first 1.5 hours of this hike will go through the steep walls of the wadi and scrambling up the small waterfalls and rocks. The incline will come just at the end when we need to climb a hill to reach the top which will take around 15 minutes. We start, as usual, to avoid the heat. After reaching the top, its all downhill!

Hiking boots are always recommended for hikes in the rocky wadis.
