Tea houses
Most EBC treks quietly include ground toilets and triple rooms as "part of the trek." Ours don't. Every tea house is twin rooms, en-suite flush toilets, many with electric blankets.
The itinerary
It's called Everest Base Camp for a reason. Reach it, then come back the same day. We skip the extra two days for Kala Patthar, a 120m hill for a sunrise view, and turn summit day into a real challenge instead: 12 hours up and down, rivaling Kilimanjaro summit night. Then back to a good tea house, not a tent.
Acclimatization
Cutting Kala Patthar doesn't cut corners. It buys back two full days, which we put straight into acclimatization. No shortcuts there.
We've run this trip enough times to know it works. Trekkers reach EBC feeling strong and supported, and they love the local guides and the extras along the way.

All of the tea houses that we choose have en suite toilet - except for Labouche Pyramid Observatory
Hot water is readily available and a warm place to gather in the evenings in the dining area is always available. Wifi will be available for an additional charge.
1 Porter for 2 people: You are only allowed 11 Kg on the plane, so 1 porter takes the duffle bags for 2 people.
1 guide for up to 5 people
Helicopter from either EBC or Labouche or Pheriche - (Weather dependent) saving 3 days walking down.
Guide: Our main guide has been with us for 18 years he will stay with the group walking with you every step of way ensuring your health and safety. Most importantly, he is there in case of emergencies. He is NOT with an agency. He is a private guide that works on referal.
Trek leader: Amy: No matter which tea houses you are in, you will have the support before you travel and on the route from your trek leader, Amy who has done the trip several times and will be with you the whole way.
You will be guided at every step with your pace and breaks to ensure you keep the effects of the altitude at a minimum to make the climb enjoyable and rewarding as it should be. Acclimatization days are essential and included as part of the package, as well as the helicopter exit to make the trip doable within the 11 days time frame.
