This itinerary is designed for travelers who enjoy active days outdoors. Trek distances and difficulty can be tailored (shorter scenic hikes or longer ridge walks), but expect uneven terrain, altitude, and full days of movement.

  Day-by-Day Travel Plan

  Day 1 –Saturday, October 10

  Arrival in Addis Ababa Fly to Lalibela. Arrive at 5:00 am, rest in hotel room until noon. Explore Addis today, the Museum of Natural History and the city sights. Dinner is traditional Ethiopian food and overnight in hotel.

  Day 2: Sunday: October 11 After breakfast, at 9:00 AM, transfer to the domestic terminal for your flight to Lalibela.

  Take a morning flight to Lalibela, renowned for its rock-hewn churches. Spend the day exploring the first group of these historic UNESCO World Heritage sites, such as Bete Medhane Alem and Bete Maryam.

  Overnight in Lalibela at Hilltop lodge

  Day 3: Monday, Oct 12

  Transfer to Gondar

  In the morning, visit the second group of churches, including Bete Gabriel-Rufael and Bete Abba Libanos. After lunch, fly to Gondar, a city known for its castles and royal history.

  Day 4 : Tuesday, Oct 13

  Simien Mountains Adventure

  Depart early from Gondar for a scenic drive to the Simien Mountains National Park. Embark on a full-day hike in this dramatic landscape, famous for its unique wildlife and breathtaking vistas. Stay overnight at the comfortable Simien Lodge, located within the park.

  Day 5: Wednesday Oct 14 Full-Day Trekking in the Simien Mountains

  Continue your adventure with another day of trekking in the Simien Mountains. Enjoy the spectacular scenery and perhaps spot the endemic Gelada baboons, Walia ibex, and diverse bird species. Return for another overnight at Simien Lodge.

  Day 6: Thursday, Oct 15 : Return to Addis Ababa - Late night flight to Dubai 8:15 PM
