Pakistan: Nanga Parbat Base Camp

  • UAE Trekkers Gilgit-Baltistan Pakistan (map)

Pakistan will surprise you! Yes. Its perfectly safe! Easily one of the most spectacular treks on earth- surrounded by all 3 of the world’s biggest mountain ranges: Himalayas, Hindi Kush, and the Karakourum. Hike up to the glacier, go over it, pass Fairy Meadows and continue to the Nanga Parbat Base Camp at 4650m.

We did this hike last August and it will be quite different in May, with a lot more snow surrouding us, on the top and cooler temps. What we all loved was that it was so remote, you could feel the culture of Pakistan and that the mountains surrouding you were so spectacular. We felt that our itinerary needed a little more challenge, so we have added 1 day/night at Nanga Parbat Base Camp itself, allowing us to go even higher into the peak, up to 4650 m, before we descend back.

  • Trek for the first 3 days will be maximum of 4 hour per day. One day will be 8 hours per day with half going up and the other half going down.
