Overview: Beginner Trek: The Bedouin Village; Samar Trails on Jabal Jais

This is 2 hours drive to go halfway up Jabal Jais with no off road sections at all. Join us for a spectacular sunrise hike to reach an ancient village. The views are all over the amazing Jabal Jais, similar to what you will have on more challenging hikes like Wadi Shah, without the effort. As with all beginner treks, the trails are easy to follow, but the more fit you are the more you will enjoy it.

Trail Description:

A hill to climb for the first hour then we will be admiring the views and going down for the rest of the way! The trail will gain no more than 100m elevation gain and a maximum of 8km over 3hours, and keep everyone at an enjoyable pace.

Location & Car Access:
2 hours drive from Dubai. We will park in a slightly sandy spot just off the main road.

Distance & Duration of the Hike:
Approximately 8KM loop trail, with a maximum of 100m of elevation gain over the entire trek, this will take about 3 hours to complete the circuit.

Highlights: The ancient village, an ancient cemetary, and incredible scenery of Jabal Jais.

Hiking boots are always recommended but trail runners ok for this hike which is on excellent trails.

Kid Friendly: Lots to explore, Kids love this hike!

Dog friendly: Dogs are ALLOWED in RAK!

What We Provide

• Group Size: Small groups under 10 (max 15) with two guides to keep everyone together.

• Guides: Experienced, Wilderness First Aid–certified, and registered with Fujairah Adventures.:

• Backpack includes 2–3 L water, electrolytes, and a hearty summit snack.

• Chilled juice and cold water at the end of the hike.

• Trek Level:

• Beginner and out of shape after the summer. We expect people to take time to adjust to the heat but eager to get back outdoors, so our goal is to keep the pace slow and sustained with lots of time to adjust.

• Kids; 200 DH + vat
