Peru: Salkantay Route to Machu Picchu Group 1:

  • UAE Trekkers Cusco, Cusco Peru (map)

This trip is open with 4 confirmed participants - 5 spots left.

The iconic trek in Peru! Macu Picchu. Overnight in the Sky Camp We will be doing the 5 days trek The Salkantay Trek is considered one of the 25 best treks in the world! This is less common and harder than the traditional route of 4 days and on a different route than the Inca Trail. There is an option to add 2 additional mountain excursions for better views which we will include in our trek.

We are doing the 5 Days Premium Trek

The 5 days trek includes a day on an original section of the Inca Trail up to Llactapata Archeological Site. This section is meant to give you the opportunity to trek along the original Inca Trail, see the Llactapata ruins and be able to admire the Santa Teresa Valley and Machu Picchu from afar.

Our group will meet 2 days before we start the trek to adjust to the altitude of over 3000 meters.

Besides the Inca Trail, the Salkantay Trek is one of the most popular treks to Machu Picchu and is less frequented by tourists and it is more challenging than the Inca Trail.

Visit stunning locations like Humantay Lake and the glorious Salkantay Mountain. Witness incredible scenery like cascades, waterfalls, glaciers, mountains, colorful valleys, unique plants and wildlife, and the cloud forest. We will hike alongside the magnificent Salkantay glacier.

Exploring the ancient citadel of Machu Picchu is one of the greatest experiences in the world.

As with our trips that are running for the first time -the cost is discounted - 5500 DH

The additional costs will be a hotel or hostel of your choice for the 2 nights prior to the trek, and 1 night after. You can choose your budget in Cusco and if you want single/shared rooms.
